He said, “You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself.”

I’m very anxious to hear how 6th graders interpret this quotation.  It seems that often we do things “just to get by” or because it’s something that is required.  Students are not much different and it is important that they see us “at our best” and “giving our best”.

No problem for me giving my best.  I just need to find a little left at the end of each day!

  • I am so glad you are starting this. I’m excited about students responding here. I DO love the quote. It inspires me to do the best I can at MY job – hopefully it directs others to do the same.

  • I think it means that you should put your best effort forth.

  • hey i miss your class . i love spanish

  • Like Hannah said it means to put your best effort forth! If your not trying hard at something nobody’s going to want to be with you because your not trying and thats causing people to not bring out the best in them! LOL! What I’m trying to say is if you try your best others will try there best too,but also will get more friends! Try your BEST in everything. I TRY too! I sometimes try good too! LOL!
